Today, we’re going to review Bare Knuckle by Apollon Nutrition. We’ll go over the ingredients so you know what you’re putting into your body, and I’ll share my personal experience with this product.

So, first, let’s get the flavor out of the way: Green Apple. It’s okay, not fabulous, to be honest. It’s not gross, just okay. To improve this flavor, they would have to add more ingredients that you might not want, like sugars or artificial sweeteners. But considering the profile here, they’ve done a commendable job with the flavoring.

Now, looking at the ingredient profile, we see a one-scoop dose is recommended, with a half-scoop option available. One scoop is 28 grams. A flat, level scoop comes out to about 29 grams, so they’re quite accurate with the measurements.

Right at the top of the label, we have Vitamin B3 (25 mg), B6 (20 mg), Folate (1360 mcg), B12 (250 mcg), B5 (50 mg), and Sodium for cell hydration (200 mg). Sodium ions in the body play a key role in signaling across neurons and cell membranes, contributing to nerve functions like muscle contractions and cognitive processes. These B vitamins support red cell formation, immunity, antioxidant protection, brain function, and regulate homocysteine levels in the body.

Diving into the Bare Knuckle Pump and Focus Matrix, we have L-Citrulline (10 grams) for vasodilation, which aids in more reps and sets in the gym by regulating ammonia and improving oxygen delivery to muscles. Arginine Nitrate is present at 4.2 grams, offering over a gram of nitrates – a substantial amount that you really feel.

Beta-Alanine is included at 3.2 grams, which buffers hydrogen during workouts. Then there’s L-Tyrosine (3 grams), a precursor to dopamine and other catecholamines, which improves cognitive function and mood. It also influences thyroid activity. Betaine Anhydrous (2.5 grams) contributes to cell hydration and acts as a methyl donor, assisting the body in eliminating contaminants.

Alpha GPC (800 mg) boosts cognitive function and may help with growth hormone release. Pink Himalayan Salt (500 mg) provides cell hydration and electrolytes. Grape Seed Extract (400 mg) is an excellent antioxidant.

CognatiQ (100 mg) (replacing Lion’s Mane, previously used) helps maintain mental focus without any crashing effects and increases brain-derived neurotrophic factor, essential for neuron health. AstraGin (50 mg) aids in the absorption of amino acids.

So, how does Bare Knuckle by Apollon Nutrition perform? The beta-alanine effect is noticeable within 5 to 10 minutes and lasts about 40-45 minutes. The cognitive functions and nitrates start to kick in around 30-40 minutes, enhancing focus and vasodilation.

This pre-workout lasts for about five hours, with pumps and cognitive functions persisting throughout. Cell swelling isn’t its primary focus, but it does provide a degree of muscle tightness and vein visibility. The energy boost and focus are excellent, not overly intense, and the product is rounded off healthily with ingredients like grape seed extract.

In summary, they’ve done a fantastic job with version 5. I appreciate Apollon Nutrition sending it over for review. I’ll definitely be enjoying it myself from time to time.
